Also of interest are the frequent "rehab games," where a major-league Tribe player is in the lineup for one night only. You get to see a guy from the big club take four at-bats or pitch two innings, for a modest five bucks!
Place is a great time through & through. Fun spot in downtown Akron. Great prices. Staff is friendly and have created a fun environment to be around. For a family of 4 Indians game (parking, tickets, food) will run you a couple hundred dollars. All that @ a Duck's game would be around $50. Great value.
First time at this stadium; the RubberDucks and the good people working the stadium ensured we had a good time. Definitely recommend.
The ballpark is interesting because of the Akron skyline just past the outfield fence, and the lineup of food options. You just want to be careful not to sit facing down the third-base line, because the sun as it sets will be full in your eyes.
Haven't been here since I was younger and took my kids for the first time. They enjoyed it but the PRICES FOR THINGS ARE A FRICKING ARM AND A LEG. How can anyone feel good about themselves for selling (half ass food) for that much!!?? We all just want to go have a good time with our families and not BREAK OUR bank account! Probably won't go again.
Seriously, I'm lucky to live in a town that boasts a selection of affordable sports options. The Rubber Ducks are the best of them. The class AA affiliate of the Cleveland Indians has outstanding players pass through on the way to the major league level.
What an awesome park! Tickets are cheap, concessions are reasonable, and the view of downtown Akron is awesome. It was worth the trip.
